We are guided by the wisdom of I, offering Mirimiri, Romiromi, Karakia and Matakite insights to restore balance and well-being. Rooted in whakapapa, we honour the deep connections between wairua, tinana, hinengaro and te taiao embracing the healing energies of our atua and the support of our ancestors. With mana, aroha and integrity, we create sacred spaces for healing, self-discovery, and empowerment. Our mahi is dedicated to uplifting whānau, strengthening our collective journey, and reconnecting each individual to their divine mauri and purpose.

No reira tena koutou

Tena koutou

Tena koutou katoa...

As a young girl, I always had this feeling that there was more to life than what we could see. It made me curious, I’d ask big questions about who we are and why we’re here. I was drawn to the realm or wairua,  had vivid dreams, and often picked up on different energies around me.

For a while, I looked for answers in different belief systems, but everything changed when I started listening to the whispers of IO, Ngā Atua, and my Tūpuna. That’s when I truly connected with my Whakapapa. Suddenly, everything made sense, who I am, where I come from, and the deep connection to those who walked this whenua before me. It was like a doorway opened, and I could see endless possibilities.

I moved to Melbourne, Australia, in 2012 and founded Ahikāroa in 2019. Ahikāroa means the eternal flame of our tūpuna that burns within us,no matter where we are in the world, their wisdom and ways continue to live on.

Ahikaroa Māori Healing is a collective, working within the realms of Wairuatanga, the spiritual dimension of all existence. Our mahi is about holistic well-being, honoring both the individual and the whakapapa that connects us all

This isn’t just a modality, it’s a way of being.

I was born and raised in the heart of Ōmahu, Pāharakeke and the Ngāti Kahungunu area.

My journey began with a curious spirit and a mischievous grin. From a young age, I’ve been blessed with the wisdom of my whānaunga, koro, kuia, tīpuna, atua and IO. Mischiefly always asking questions and exploring the mysteries of life with a spark of humour.

As these taonga grew, a path led me through moments of introspection and the gentle uncovering of my own spiritual essence. Embracing the hereditary gifts passed down through whakapapa, I have learned to honour and deepen my connection with culture and nurture acknowledgments alongside acceptance whilst maintaining connection to source.

Today, I strive to be a beacon within the dark while supporting the connection and the understanding to help others reconnect with their own spiritual paths. with each step, we honour the interconnectedness of all beings, carrying forward the legacy of our tīpuna with a profound sense of purpose.

In the end, it’s this deep spiritual connection and the wisdom of those before me that empowers me to guide others, illuminating the path of healing and self-discovery.

“E kore au e ngaro, he kākano i ruia mai i Rangiātea.”
I will never be lost, for I am a seed sown in Rangiātea.

I was raised in Naarm, Ahitereiria, the grandchild of migrants who left Napier, Aotearoa in the mid-1980s seeking a better life. I am the first generation in my whānau born here, and the first to reconnect deeply with our Māoritanga.

Growing up in Ahitereiria, I did not realise until later in life how much I struggled with my cultural identity. I attended Samoan events, learned waiata Māori online, and searched wherever I could for ways to build a sense of self and belonging. Yet the journey was often lonely, with minimal representation and limited access to learning within my communities. Alongside this, I carried giftings passed down through my lineage—giftings I did not know how to use or understand. It wasn’t until I reached young adulthood that I began to reconnect with them, slowly developing my own understanding, but without the mātauranga or direction to truly walk that path.

In 2024, I came across Ahikāroa Māori Healing while searching for something greater than myself. I was at my lowest point and deeply in need of support. I feel blessed by IO to have found Rytasha and Arama, who held me in a space of both mana and vulnerability. Through their guidance, they opened the doorway to a journey into my own wairuatanga and Māoritanga—spaces and concepts that had once felt distant and unfamiliar. Here, my giftings were understood, my truth was honoured, and my path made clear. I found my people, the mahi my tūpuna set before me, and myself.

Today I hold myself and my tupuna in a space of Mana. Carrying them with me throughout my mahi as a kaimiri, being able to support others throughout their journies of reconnection and rediscovery of their wairua, tinana and sense of self.

You are not alone. Your tūpuna are calling you.
Our way of life is for you.
